RUSSELL—The Shilo Riding Club is now playing catch-up with shows that were missed due to weather, and has one show left next weekend. The last originally scheduled show was at the Russell Fairgrounds on Sat., Sept. 26. On Sun., Oct. 18, weather permitting, the club will go on a trail ride, and the season wraps up on Sat., Nov. 21 at the awards banquet.

Shilo is a fun club, with competitors winning ribbons only, and the emphasis is on learning to ride and controlling your horse. The club has an arrangement with the Russell Agricultural Society to use the horse ring at the fairgrounds and to organize the fair’s western games.
